Emporio is the largest village of Santorini, located 12 km from the capital Fira on the foot of Mount Prophet Elias.

The village itself has a strong medieval character. Visitors explore its whitewashed alleys and make their way to the heart of the village, where a wonderful medieval castle stands proud. Entering through its main gate, they soon start delving into the narrow streets that inspired Jean-Paul Sartre to write one of his first theatre plays, Les Mouches.
